Scout Fundamentals: First Class Challenge; is designed to challenge each participating scout to do their best while learning vital fundamental scout skills in a fun and beneficial way. New scouts and webelos can participate in this program during the day Saturday at the District's Merit Badge Weekend. Throughout the day scouts will participate in activities in the following topic areas: First Aid, Pioneering, Cooking, Totin' Chip, and Fireman Chit. The intent in covering these topics is that each scout will have an enjoyable, interactive experience which will give them the knowledge needed for the scouts to advance in rank. Participants of the course are also taken on a tour of the camp to give them idea of where things are located around camp. The course will conclude with the participants assisting with the construction of the campfire for the evening camp program.
